Drug-Free Workplace

Tri-Eagle Sales is a drug free workplace. Company policy prohibits possession, use, consumption, transfer or sale of illegal drugs, or the misuse of legal drugs or alcohol while on company premises, company business or during an employee’s scheduled workday.

If you are offered a position at Tri-Eagle Sales, you will be sent to a medical facility for a pre-employment drug screen, and if required for the position, a physical and physical ability assessment. Under the provisions of section 440.101 Florida Statutes, you will be tested for the use of amphetamines, cannabinoids (marijuana), cocaine, phencyclidine (PCP) and opiates (e.g. heroin). Since a number of over the counter drugs and prescription drugs could alter or affect a test result, the testing facility will furnish you with a form which will list some of the more common brand names. You will be given the opportunity to confidentially disclose the use of prescription medications before and after the testing.

In the case of a positive drug screen, you will be contacted by a medical review officer associated with the medical facility. The medical review officer will be able to provide you with technical information concerning prescription and nonprescription medications. You will have 5 days after receiving notification to contest the result. If the medical review officer does not accept your explanation or challenge, Tri-Eagle Sales will be told that the test was positive. You may contest the result pursuant to law or rules adopted by the Agency for Health Care Administration. You will not be allowed to report to work until after we receive the results of the drug test. If your drug test results came back as positive, you will not be hired. Tri-Eagle Sales will not release any information concerning the drug test results without your written consent unless otherwise required by law.

Conditional Offer

If you are selected to come in for an interview with a supervisor, this does not necessarily mean that you will be hired. If you are selected, a supervisor will extend an offer of employment conditioned on your passing the pre-employment drug screen and if required for the position, a physical, a physical ability assessment and our satisfaction with the results of a background check.

Background Check

We will do background checks which may include; reference checks, motor vehicle driving records check, criminal history check, professional or occupational license verification, education verification or other background check, after a conditional offer of employment is made. You may work for Tri-Eagle Sales prior to our receiving the results of the background check, however your employment may be subject to immediate termination if we subsequently discover that you furnished false or misleading information.

Any material misrepresentation or deliberate omission of a fact in my application may be justification for refusal of, or if employed, termination from employment. It is my understanding that Tri-Eagle Sales will make a thorough investigation of my entire work and personal history and may verify all data given in my application for employment, related papers or oral interviews. I understand that falsification of data so given or other derogatory information discovered as a result of this investigation may prevent my being hired, or if hired, may subject me to immediate dismissal.

I understand that my employment with Tri-Eagle Sales is employment at will that may be terminated with or without cause and with or without notice at any time by me or by Tri-Eagle. If requested by the management at any time, I agree to submit to a search of my person or of any locker that may be assigned to me, and I hereby waive all claims for damages on account of such examination. If I am offered a position I understand and agree that I will be required to take a drug screen and, if required for the position, physical examination, physical ability assessment prior to employment to determine if I can perform the essential functions of the job and I authorize any physician or hospital to release any information which may be necessary to determine my ability to perform the duties of the job I am being considered for prior to employment or in the future during my employment with Tri-Eagle Sales.

Although management makes every effort to accommodate individual preference, business needs may at times make the following conditions mandatory: overtime, shift work, a rotating work schedule or a work schedule other than Monday through Friday. I understand and accept these conditions of my continuing employment. I understand that this in an application for employment and that no employment contract is being offered. I further understand that if I am employed, such employment is for an indefinite period of time and that Tri-Eagle Sales can change wages, benefits and conditions at any time.
