This position is accountable for leading the warehouse and service operation teams in Tallahassee in planning, developing and executing of all warehouse and service activities, including the development and training of staff, safety, security and maintenance of warehouse and service equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for leading, developing, training and motivating warehouse and service personnel and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met. Directly supervises all Warehouse and Service Supervisors through written, oral instructions and weekly meetings (or as needed).
Develop and implement OPI and KPI procedures to minimize warehouse and service personnel costs by improving efficiencies reducing overtime to stay within budget.
Develop a leadership, mentorship and technical training philosophy with action planning for the warehouse/service teams.
Responsible for the 7 day process of all warehouse and service duties including truck loading, unloading and receiving, Verifies all route and transport trucks are loaded or reloaded as needed. All service and hot shot routes are properly settled (daily). Responsible to work weekend schedules if needed.
Confers with the Vice President of Operations to ensure coordination of warehouse and service department needs. Meet weekly to review activities of other functions such as sales, records control SkU purchasing, Inventory levels, security of facility.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of warehouse/service functions including proper manpower utilization and completion of all paperwork (timely) in compliance with Anheuser-Busch & TES standards and in compliance with all state and federal laws.
Responsible for adhering to all Anheuser-Busch equity agreement requirements and other supplier agreement requirements in regards to proper product handling and storage.
Responsible for the accounting, overseeing and destruction of old and damaged product in accordance with all State and Federal Beverage Department regulations.
Responsible for the facility appearance – daily upkeep of warehouse/service, drive-through and facility grounds. Inspect physical condition of the warehouse and service equipment, coordinates with outside vendors for the proper maintenance and repair of warehouse/service equipment.
Responsible for working with other members of the Leadership team to improve cohesiveness, effectiveness and customer focus while fostering the “Fish” culture within the organization.
Responsible for monitoring security systems and ensuring that safety hazards are handled quickly and properly disposed of.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages Warehouse/Service Supervisors and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all warehouse/service employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities which include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems. All resolutions are to be in a “Resolve by Sundown” practice.
